Associate Attorney needed for Westlake Village office

A law firm is seeking an Associate Attorney in Westlake Village, CA.

Job Overview:

The Associate Attorney will provide legal support, conduct legal research, draft legal documents, and represent clients in various legal proceedings.

Duties:

• Conduct legal research on various legal issues.
• Draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, briefs, and contracts.
• Represent clients in court hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and other legal proceedings.
• Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and other parties involved in legal matters.
• Assist senior attorneys in case management and strategy development.
• Stay updated on changes in the law and legal precedents relevant to the firm's practice areas.
• Participate in firm meetings, training sessions, and professional development activities.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the California State Bar in good standing.
• Strong academic credentials.
• Excellent writing and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Prior experience in a law firm or legal environment is preferred.
• Familiarity with legal research tools and software.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
