Responsibilities

  • Manage transactional matters from inception through resolution.
  • Review, approve, and draft key documents for local government operations.

  • Provide strategic legal advice and guidance to clients.

  • Stay updated on changes in laws and regulations.

  • Manage support staff on the local government team.

Requirements

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • At least 7 years of local government experience.
  • Admitted to practice law in the State of Georgia, in good standing.
  • Strong knowledge of contract law.
  • Experience in litigation and courtroom procedures.
  • Proficiency in conducting legal research using Lexis-Nexis and Westlaw.
  • Excellent writing skills with the ability to draft clear and concise legal documents.
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
  • Ability to manage support staff.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Education
