Associate Attorney (Civil Litigation)

Job Overview

A law firm seeks an experienced Civil Litigation Associate Attorney to join its Business and Tort & Insurance practice groups in San Diego, CA. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of five years' experience in business and tort litigation.

Duties

• Develop client relationships and establish legal objectives.
• Draft pleadings and manage discovery processes.
• Conduct depositions and prepare expert consultations.
• Research complex legal issues to support case strategies.
• Manage electronic discovery and fact discovery processes.
• Report comprehensively to partners and clients.
• Negotiate and communicate persuasively with opposing counsel.

Requirements

• Admitted to and in good standing with the California bar.
• 5+ years of civil litigation experience.
• Strong analytical, research, oral, and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage caseloads.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

• California Bar admission.
