Job Overview

A law firm seeks a senior-level Associate with approximately 7-8 years of state and federal corporate and commercial litigation experience to join the team in San Diego, CA. Duties

• Draft motions, discovery requests, and responses.
• Prepare meet and confer correspondence, motion and trial briefs.
• Negotiate and draft settlement agreements and client reports.
• Argue minor motions and attend routine court appearances.
• Take and defend depositions and assist in trial preparation.

Requirements

• California bar admission required.
• Experience in business litigation, including corporate and commercial matters.
• Strong writing, verbal, analytical, and research skills.
• Experience in moot court and/or law review preferred.
• Judicial clerkship experience is advantageous.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Active membership in the California State Bar.

• Proficiency in drafting legal documents and conducting legal research.
