Insurance Defense Attorney

A law firm in Austin, TX is seeking an experienced Insurance Defense Attorney with 7+ years of experience. The focus of this role will be on bodily injury defense, construction, and other insurance defense matters.

Job Overview:

The ideal candidate will have prior insurance defense experience and be highly proficient in handling civil cases through trial, including taking depositions, attending oral arguments and hearings, negotiating settlements, and providing detailed reports to clients. This position requires a current license to practice law in Texas, with additional licensure in other states considered a plus. The candidate should hold a Juris Doctorate degree.

Duties:

• Focus on bodily injury defense, construction, and other insurance defense matters.
• Handle civil cases through trial, including depositions and oral arguments.
• Attend hearings and negotiate settlements.
• Provide detailed reports to clients.
• Utilize industry-leading technology.
• Work remotely with a dedicated internal IT department for support.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctorate degree.
