Job Overview

A law firm seeks an Insurance and Reinsurance Litigation Associate in New York City. The ideal candidate will have 4 to 7 years of experience in insurance coverage and commercial litigation, with a strong understanding of professional liability, general liability, and directors and officers insurance policies.

Duties

  • Draft pleadings and dispositive motions.
  • Manage all facets of discovery and discovery motion practice.
  • Conduct depositions and make court appearances.
  • Engage in business development and client management.
  • Independently manage cases.

Requirements

  • 4 to 7 years of relevant experience.
  • Strong understanding of insurance coverage issues.
  • Extensive civil litigation experience.
  • Experience with business development preferred.
  • Ability to manage cases independently.

Education

  • Excellent academic credentials required.

Certifications

  • Bar admission in New York.
