Job Overview

A law firm seeks a Trial Attorney for its Los Angeles, CA office. The successful candidate will litigate unlawful detainer actions in California state courts on behalf of property owners and managers.

Duties

• Litigate unlawful detainer actions in California state courts.
• Defend and conduct depositions.
• Provide legal advice through phone consultations.
• Respond to client questions and concerns.
• Work with legal staff on pre-trial motions, pleadings, and discovery documents.
• Manage a high volume of cases.

Requirements

• J.D. and active California Bar license.
• Strong oral advocacy skills.
• Knowledge of trial procedure and evidence code.
• Ability to work with diverse backgrounds.
• Willingness to spend multiple days per week in court.

Education

• Graduate degree.

Certifications

• Active California Bar license.

Skills

• Oral advocacy.
• Knowledge of unlawful detainer law preferred.
• 1+ years of jury trial experience preferred.
• Experience with the rental housing industry preferred.
