A law firm in Louisville, CO, is seeking a Construction Defect Litigation Attorney with 5-10 years of civil litigation experience. The ideal candidate will be responsible for client coordination, expert selection, drafting legal documents, defending and taking depositions, trial preparation, and representing individuals and small businesses in construction defect litigation matters.

 

Duties:

  • Coordinate with clients from initial representation letters through trial proceedings.
  • Select and coordinate with expert witnesses.
  • Draft and respond to pleadings, discovery requests, and motions.
  • Defend and take depositions of witnesses.
  • Prepare cases for trial, serving as first or second chair as necessary.
  • Pay strong attention to detail throughout the litigation process.
  • Preferentially represent individuals and small businesses in construction defect cases.
  • Handle cases related to construction defect, general construction, commercial litigation, and real estate law.
  • Demonstrate deposition and trial/arbitration experience.
  • Utilize and be comfortable with technology relevant to legal practice.

 

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the Colorado Bar.
  • 5-10 years of civil litigation experience.
  • Familiarity with construction defect litigation, general construction, commercial litigation, and real estate law.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Experience in client representation from initial contact through trial.
  • Comfortable with technology used in legal practice.

 

Education:

Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

 

Certifications:

Admission to the Colorado Bar.
