A law firm in New York City is seeking a Junior Litigation Associate Attorney with 3-5 years of solid experience in Commercial Litigation, specifically focusing on secured creditor enforcement. The ideal candidate will independently handle all aspects of secured financing enforcement proceedings, draft and argue dispositive motions, and manage various litigation tasks in both State and Federal courts. Strong legal research and writing skills, along with excellent organizational and communication abilities, are essential for success in this role.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Independently handle all aspects of secured financing enforcement proceedings.
  • Draft and argue dispositive motions and injunction papers.
  • Conduct due diligence related to the purchase and sale of notes and mortgages.
  • Prepare and file pleadings, motions, discovery documents, and appeals.
  • Represent clients in State and Federal court appearances and mediations.
  • Manage multiple cases simultaneously, ensuring timely and accurate completion of tasks.
  • Communicate effectively with clients to provide updates and obtain necessary information.
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys and other team members to develop case strategies and ensure comprehensive legal representation.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to practice law in New York; admission in New Jersey is preferred.
  • 3-5 years of solid experience in Commercial Litigation with a focus on secured creditor enforcement.
  • Strong legal research and writing skills.
  • Proven ability to draft and argue dispositive motions and handle complex litigation tasks.
  • Experience with State and Federal court procedures and appearances.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and prioritization abilities.
  • Effective communication skills for client interactions and internal collaboration.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple cases effectively.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Admission to the New York State Bar (New Jersey admission preferred).

Skills:

  • Proficiency in drafting and arguing dispositive motions and injunction papers.
  • Strong legal research and writing skills.
  • Experience with preparing pleadings, motions, discovery documents, and appeals.
  • Familiarity with State and Federal court procedures and mediations.
