Job Overview

A law firm seeks an Associate Attorney in Alabama to work primarily on consumer and commercial collection matters. This role involves managing cases from inception to completion, reviewing pleadings, and attending court.

Duties

  • Appear in court for various proceedings.
  • Review and prepare pleadings.
  • Manage and prioritize a heavy caseload.
  • Negotiate settlements and agreements.
  • Collaborate closely with support staff and fellow attorneys.

Requirements

  • Juris Doctorate required.
  • One to three years of experience, preferably in collection litigation.
  • Admission to practice law in the state of Alabama.
  • Admission to practice in additional states preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Knowledge of consumer protection statutes, such as the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, preferred.

  • Juris Doctorate

  • Admission to the Alabama State Bar
