Litigation Attorney - Insurance Defense

Job Overview

A law firm seeks litigation attorneys in Atlanta, GA, to join their team. The firm is expanding its Atlanta office to handle complex insurance defense matters, including trucking, premises liability, and general liability cases. This role is open to attorneys at various experience levels, from mid-career to senior litigators.

Duties

• Manage or support insurance defense cases from intake through resolution.
• Draft pleadings, discovery, and legal memoranda.
• Conduct or assist with depositions and hearings.
• Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and claims professionals.
• Contribute to trial preparation and strategy.
• Supervise and mentor associates and support staff (for senior candidates).

Requirements

• J.D. from an accredited law school.
• Licensed and in good standing in Georgia.
• Insurance defense experience required.
• Background in trucking/transportation law is a plus.
• 3-10+ years of litigation experience.
• Strong legal writing, organization, and communication skills.
• First-chair trial experience preferred for senior applicants.
• Ability to work independently and within a hybrid/remote team.

Education

• J.D. from an accredited law school.
