Job Overview:
A prominent law firm is seeking an Associate Attorney to join its dynamic team in Atlanta, Georgia. This position is ideal for attorneys with an interest in civil litigation or debt collection and offers an opportunity to gain substantial courtroom experience early in your legal career. The firm handles a high volume of cases, and the selected candidate will be responsible for a variety of duties, including legal analysis, court appearances, and client negotiations.

Duties:

  • Manage a high volume of legal cases and ensure all files are organized and up-to-date
  • Prepare and review court pleadings, motions, and other legal documents
  • Communicate effectively with clients, courts, and opposing counsel
  • Attend court hearings and trials, both in person and virtually
  • Negotiate resolutions with defendants or their counsel
  • Maintain accurate case information in the firm’s software system
  • Regularly update case status and manage related administrative tasks
  • Collaborate with legal clerks and team members to ensure efficient case management

Requirements:

  • Licensed to practice law in Georgia and good standing
  • Ability to work independently with limited supervision
  • High level of discretion and professional ethics
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to handle a large caseload in a fast-paced environment

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school

Certifications:

  • Active bar membership in Georgia

Skills:
