Duties

• Defend public entities in litigation involving various legal matters.
• Conduct legal research and draft pleadings and motions.
• Manage discovery processes and interface with clients and opposing counsel.
• Argue motions in court and attend mediations.
• Participate in trial proceedings and collaborate with team members.

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience in civil litigation in a law firm environment.
• Experience with public entity defense is a plus.
• Proficiency in legal research, drafting, and discovery management.
• Experience in depositions, motion arguments, and mediations preferred.
• Strong communication and advocacy skills.
• Ability to manage a caseload independently and collaboratively.

Education

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Current admission to the California State Bar.
