Job Overview:
A reputable law firm located in Dallas, TX is seeking a junior-level Associate Attorney to join its team specializing in fidelity, surety, and complex coverage litigation. The position involves evaluating high-value insurance claims and managing litigation predominantly in federal court settings. The ideal candidate will bring a strong litigation background and a foundational understanding of professional lines insurance, particularly within the areas of crime and liability coverage.

Duties:

• Represent clients in intricate coverage disputes involving significant financial stakes, primarily in federal court

• Analyze and evaluate insurance claims with a focus on fidelity, crime, and professional liability coverage

• Draft motions, pleadings, and discovery documents; prepare for hearings and trials

• Take and defend depositions and attend court proceedings

• Collaborate with colleagues and clients in a team-based practice environment

• Conduct legal research and provide strategic analysis for complex coverage matters

Requirements:

• Minimum of 1 year of experience practicing litigation

• Prior involvement with federal court cases, including courtroom appearances and deposition practice

• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines

• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative legal setting

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• Admission to the Texas State Bar in good standing

Skills:

• Proficient in litigation strategy, legal research, and written/oral advocacy

• Familiarity with professional lines insurance, including but not limited to crime and liability policies

• Ability to interpret complex policy language and assess coverage exposure

• Highly organized with keen attention to detail

• Strong analytical, communication, and client-service capabilities
