Attorney with 3-7 years of defense litigation experience

A law firm in Dallas is seeking an Attorney with 3-7 years of defense litigation experience. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing legal counsel to clients, representing them in various legal proceedings, and ensuring effective communication throughout the legal process.

Job Details:

• Regularly communicate with clients to establish and maintain relationships.
• Advise clients on the status of cases, arbitrations, and legal proceedings.
• Respond to and prepare discovery requests.
• Draft legal analysis memorandums, briefings, and reports.
• Conduct and defend depositions.
• Prepare motions and engage in motion practice.
• Represent clients in court proceedings.
• Prepare for and attend hearings, mediations, arbitrations, pretrial proceedings, and trials.
• Prepare post-trial motions and handle appeals if necessary.

Requirements:

• Texas license is required.
• 3-7 years of defense litigation experience preferred.
• Good standing active member of the State Bar of Texas.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Proven ability to work independently.

Education:

Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

Admission to the State Bar of Texas.
