Job Overview:

A well-established law firm is seeking a dedicated Labor and Employment Attorney with 3–4 years of experience to join its growing team. This role offers an excellent opportunity for attorneys interested in handling a broad range of labor and employment matters including compliance, litigation, and dispute resolution. Location:

  • York, Pennsylvania

Duties:

  • Provide legal advice on labor disputes, employment discrimination, wage/hour claims, and HR compliance

  • Conduct legal research and draft memoranda, briefs, and contracts

  • Draft and negotiate employment-related documents including handbooks, agreements, and internal policies

  • Represent clients in mediations, arbitrations, administrative hearings, depositions, and court proceedings

  • Collaborate with clients and internal teams to create effective legal strategies

  • Analyze complex federal, state, and local labor/employment laws (FMLA, ADA, FLSA, Title VII, ADEA, etc.)

  • Keep clients informed of legal developments and compliance obligations

  • Assist in mentoring junior legal staff (if applicable)

Requirements:

  • 3–4 years of legal practice experience

  • Experience with employment law and litigation

  • Strong research and drafting abilities

  • Proven ability to manage multiple cases and priorities

  • Active license to practice law in Pennsylvania

  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

  • Licensed and in good standing to practice law in Pennsylvania

Skills:

  • Employment law expertise (Title VII, FMLA, ADA, ADEA, FLSA, etc.)

  • Legal research and analysis

  • Drafting and negotiating contracts

  • Oral advocacy and litigation strategy

  • Client counseling and risk mitigation

  • Excellent written and interpersonal communication

  • Detail-oriented and highly organized
