A law firm seeks an Employment and Labor Associate in New York, NY, and Uniondale, NY. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of experience in wage and hour and employment discrimination litigation.

Duties

  • Conduct investigatory interviews
  • Draft and respond to discovery
  • Prepare initial pleadings
  • Draft and argue motions
  • Prepare administrative position statements
  • Deposition experience is a plus

Requirements

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
  • Active New York State Bar admission
  • Minimum of 2 years of litigation experience, preferably with exposure to employment and labor matters
  • Detail-oriented and punctual
  • Ability to efficiently resolve cases
  • Prompt responsiveness to client inquiries
  • Strong sense of legal triage

Education
