A dynamic litigation firm is seeking a Keenan Trial Institute-trained Trial Attorney to join its expanding team handling employment law and personal injury cases. The position offers a unique opportunity to start remotely while building toward relocation to West Virginia. This role is ideal for a litigator passionate about justice, creative trial strategy, and client-centered advocacy — all while working in a high-impact, collaborative environment.

Location

  • Buckhannon, WV

Duties

  • Apply Keenan Trial Institute methodologies in litigation strategy and trial work

  • Manage employment and personal injury cases from intake through trial

  • Serve as lead counsel in trials, mediations, arbitrations, and depositions

  • Develop detailed case strategies with a focus on client storytelling and jury persuasion

  • Draft legal documents and conduct legal research

  • Supervise support staff assigned to your cases to ensure smooth operations

  • Travel to West Virginia for hearings, trials, client meetings, and team events

Requirements

  • Completion of Keenan Trial Institute training (required)

  • Admission to the West Virginia Bar or willingness to obtain it promptly

  • Trial-ready mindset with experience in high-stakes litigation

  • Ability to lead and work collaboratively within a high-performing team

  • Strong communication, strategic thinking, and client advocacy skills

  • Willingness to relocate to and build a life in West Virginia

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

Certifications

  • Licensed to practice law in West Virginia (or actively pursuing licensure)
