Job Title: Associate Attorney

Job Overview:
A distinguished boutique law firm based in Farmingdale, NJ, is seeking a driven associate with a minimum of three years of relevant experience. The firm focuses on high-impact plaintiff-side cases, including personal injury, civil rights violations, wrongful death, and workplace disputes. Known for its trial-oriented approach, the firm is committed to pursuing justice against both corporate and governmental entities. Duties:

  • Draft, review, and edit legal briefs, motions, and other litigation documents

  • Manage and analyze complex discovery materials and organize case files efficiently

  • Conduct legal research and prepare memoranda on case law, statutes, and procedural issues

  • Represent clients in court proceedings, hearings, and depositions under supervision or independently as appropriate

  • Collaborate with senior attorneys to develop litigation strategies

  • Participate in settlement negotiations and trial preparations

  • Maintain consistent communication with clients and manage expectations throughout the litigation process

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3 years of litigation experience

  • Demonstrated ability to draft and argue motions effectively

  • Experience working on plaintiff-side matters is a strong advantage

  • Familiarity with federal and state civil procedure

  • Proven commitment to social justice and advocacy preferred

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

  • Admission to the New Jersey Bar in good standing

  • Additional Bar admissions (e.g., New York or Pennsylvania) are considered a plus

Skills:

  • Exceptional legal writing and analytical skills

  • Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail

  • Comfortable managing substantial case documentation and discovery

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment
