Job Overview

A law firm seeks an experienced Associate Corporate Mergers & Acquisitions Attorney to join their team in New York, NY. The successful candidate will work closely with partners on public and private company transactions, drafting agreements, and conducting due diligence. This role requires 5-9 years of relevant experience.

Duties

• Participate in all aspects of public and private company transactional work.
• Review and prepare draft agreements and conduct due diligence.
• Coordinate and oversee due diligence efforts with specialty practice attorneys.
• Mentor and oversee junior attorneys as needed.
• Manage organizational tasks and corporate drafting for major transactions.
• Engage in other corporate matters, including IPOs and capital markets.
• Handle ad hoc projects and assignments as required.

Requirements

• Experience with large public company transactions.
• 5-9 years in corporate and securities practice.
• Proficiency in drafting documents and managing detailed transactions.
• Knowledge of basic securities laws and public company transactional work.
• Ability to work productively with colleagues and clients.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Qualified to practice law in New York.
• Active member in good standing with the New York Bar Association.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Admitted to the New York State Bar.
