Job Title:
Associate Attorney

Job Overview:
A prominent law firm based in Atlanta, GA, seeks an Associate Attorney to join their team. The ideal candidate will handle a caseload primarily focused on collection and litigation matters. This position requires someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, can manage high volumes of cases, and possesses strong communication and analytical skills.

Duties:

  • Manage breach of contract and collection litigation cases, from demand through judgment.
  • Represent clients at court hearings (both telephonic and in-person).
  • Prepare and argue Motions for Summary Judgment.
  • Oversee and maintain a caseload to meet client goals and expectations.
  • Address escalated or time-sensitive matters as necessary.
  • Take on additional duties or special projects as required.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctorate (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
  • Licensed to practice law in the state of Georgia.
  • Prior experience with the Fair Debt Collections Practices Act (FDCPA) and Article 9 of the Uniform Commercial Code (UCC) is a plus.

Education:

  • Juris Doctorate (J.D.) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Admission to the Georgia State Bar is required.

Skills:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Strong legal research skills, using both legal and non-legal resources.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Ability to effectively manage and prioritize a substantial caseload.
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Detail-oriented and organized, able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong work ethic, with attention to deadlines, time management, and attendance.
