A law firm seeks an Associate Attorney for its Global Finance Group in Los Angeles, CA. This role is ideal for candidates with a solid background in syndicated lending and private credit, providing an opportunity to work on complex financing transactions for both borrowers and lenders.

Duties:

  • Draft and negotiate transaction documents related to syndicated lending and private credit deals.
  • Lead financing transactions, ensuring compliance and alignment with client objectives.
  • Collaborate with clients to provide strategic legal advice throughout the financing process.
  • Develop familiarity with sponsor finance and leveraged buyout (LBO) financing structures.
  • Conduct legal research and stay informed about current trends and regulations in global finance.
  • Build strong relationships with clients and stakeholders to facilitate effective communication and successful outcomes.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in syndicated lending and/or private credit/direct lending.
  • Experience representing either borrowers or lenders is essential.
  • Familiarity with sponsor finance and LBO financing is preferred.
  • Candidates must be admitted or eligible for admission to the California bar.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active membership or eligibility for membership in the California state bar.

Skills:

  • Strong drafting and negotiation skills, with an eye for detail.
  • Excellent analytical abilities and a comprehensive understanding of financial transactions.
