Mid-Senior level Finance Associate

Job Overview:
A law firm is seeking a mid-senior level Finance Associate with experience in sponsor or lender-side finance. The ideal candidate will have experience representing lenders (such as investment and commercial banks, business development companies, or other debt financing providers) and/or borrowers (including private equity sponsors) in complex financing transactions, including acquisitions, buyouts, restructurings, special situations, and other corporate finance matters. 

Location:

• Los Angeles, CA

Duties:

• Represent lenders and borrowers in complex financing transactions, including acquisitions, buyouts, and restructurings.

• Handle corporate finance transactions, including special situations and debt financing deals.

• Draft, negotiate, and review financing documents.

• Provide legal counsel to clients involved in sophisticated financial transactions.

• Collaborate with senior partners and team members to manage and execute deals.

• Engage in client interactions and strategic legal advice on finance-related matters.

Requirements:

• Mid-senior level experience in sponsor or lender-side finance.

• Experience at a peer law firm representing lenders and/or borrowers in complex financing transactions.

• Strong knowledge of corporate finance, buyouts, restructurings, and debt financing.

• Ability to draft and negotiate financing agreements and legal documents.

• Excellent communication and client management skills.

• Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively within a team.

Education:

• J.D. from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Admission to the relevant state bar.

Skills:

• Strong understanding of finance law and corporate transactions.

• Excellent drafting, negotiation, and legal research skills.

• Ability to manage complex financing deals and provide strategic legal guidance.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Effective communicator with clients and team members.
