Immigration Attorney

A law firm in Los Angeles, CA is seeking an Immigration Attorney responsible for managing assigned cases, representing clients in Immigration Court and USCIS, conducting research, writing motions, briefs, and appeals, and maintaining communication with clients throughout the legal process. The candidate should have solid writing ability, case management skills, the ability to supervise support staff, and strong Spanish language skills.

Duties:

• Manage assigned cases, including appellate work and representation in family court for SIJS cases.
• Appear in Immigration Court and USCIS on behalf of clients.
• Research and write motions, briefs, and appeals.
• Maintain communication with clients throughout the legal process.
• Supervise support staff as needed.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
• Active membership in a State Bar.
• 1+ years of experience in immigration law, specifically in removal defense and USCIS procedures.
• Solid writing ability and case management skills.
• Excellent writing and oral communication skills.
• Ability to multitask and work under pressure to meet deadlines.
• Ability to thoroughly research case law.
• Proficiency in Spanish strongly recommended.
