Business & Facilities Associate Attorney

Job Overview:
A respected California law firm is seeking a Business & Facilities Associate Attorney to join its Sacramento office. This position is ideal for attorneys interested in supporting public K-12 schools and community colleges with a range of operational and legal matters, including real estate transactions, public contracting, construction disputes, and contract negotiations. The role combines transactional and litigation support in a collaborative and purpose-driven legal environment. Recruitment is being conducted on behalf of the firm.

Location:

• Sacramento, California

Duties:

• Advise educational institutions on real estate transactions and lease agreements

• Handle public contracting and construction procurement issues

• Support clients in resolving construction-related disputes

• Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of contracts

• Provide both transactional and litigation support to school districts and community colleges

• Conduct legal research, draft memoranda, and offer day-to-day operational counsel

Requirements:

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in legal practice, preferably with exposure to public contracting, real estate, or education law

• Demonstrated interest in supporting public institutions and community services

• Ability to manage multiple matters and work with a diverse client base

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school

Certifications:

• Active membership in the State Bar of California (required)
