Senior Attorney needed for Orlando office

Job Overview:
A law firm is seeking an experienced Senior Attorney with a strong background in commercial/business litigation, and potentially family law, to join its team in Orlando, FL. The ideal candidate will manage a diverse caseload, helping clients navigate complex legal matters with professionalism, integrity, and a client-centered approach. This position offers the opportunity to work in both litigation and family law, with a focus on providing high-quality legal service and strategic case management.

Location:

• Orlando, FL

Duties:

• Manage a caseload of commercial/business litigation matters from inception through resolution.

• Potentially manage or assist with family law cases.

• Draft pleadings, motions, discovery requests and responses, and correspondence.

• Conduct legal research and prepare memoranda to support case strategy.

• Attend and handle court hearings, mediations, and depositions.

• Maintain accurate case files and ensure deadlines are met while working collaboratively with team members.

• Review discovery and develop strategic case plans.

• Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and the court.

Requirements:

• 10+ years of experience in business/commercial litigation.

• Family law experience is a plus.

• Licensed and in good standing with the Florida Bar.

• Strong knowledge of the Florida Rules of Civil Procedure and relevant Florida Statutes.

• Proven litigation experience, including courtroom appearances.

• Experience with mediation and negotiation, with a confident and strategic approach to conflict resolution.

• Ability to manage multiple cases and priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Active membership in the Florida Bar (required).
