A well-regarded AV-rated law firm is seeking a full-time Associate Attorney to join its legal team, focusing on creditors' rights, foreclosure, bankruptcy, and real estate matters. This role provides an excellent opportunity for a motivated legal professional to work alongside experienced attorneys while gaining hands-on experience in litigation, transactional law, and regulatory compliance. Ideal for attorneys looking to build a long-term practice in financial services and property law.

Conduct legal research and draft memoranda on issues involving creditors’ rights, foreclosure, bankruptcy, and real estate
Draft, review, and file legal documents for court proceedings, including pleadings and motions
Assist in the management and prosecution of foreclosure actions and bankruptcy filings
Represent clients in court proceedings and administrative hearings
Participate in debt collection actions and settlement negotiations
Communicate with clients, providing legal counsel and updates on case developments
Track court deadlines, maintain case files, and assist with case strategy under senior attorney supervision
Monitor legislative and regulatory changes affecting relevant practice areas
0–3 years of legal experience in creditors' rights, real estate law, foreclosure, or bankruptcy (preferred but not required)
Demonstrated interest in financial and real estate legal practices
Ability to manage a dynamic workload with attention to deadlines and client service
Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school
Active member in good standing with the Maryland, Virginia, and/or District of Columbia Bar
Willingness to become barred in additional jurisdictions, if necessary
Strong legal research and writing capabilities
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Organizational skills and ability to manage multiple files and deadlines
Professional demeanor and ability to work collaboratively within a team
Client-focused approach with attention to detail and quality service
Proficiency with legal case management systems and Microsoft Office tools
Mentorship from experienced attorneys in a supportive work environment
