Senior Attorney needed for Chicago office

A law firm in Chicago, IL is seeking a Senior Attorney to join their team. The Senior Attorney will be responsible for conducting and defending depositions, managing a case docket, and appearing in court. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential for interactions with clients, lawyers, business professionals, and third parties. The role also involves producing deliverables, answering phone calls, and replying to correspondence promptly and efficiently. The ideal candidate will possess 4+ years of experience in civil litigation, with proficiency in research, writing, and analytical skills.

Duties:

• Conduct and defend depositions
• Manage a case docket
• Appear in court
• Communicate effectively with various stakeholders
• Produce deliverables efficiently
• Answer phone calls and reply to correspondence promptly
• Meet deadlines and expectations consistently
• Engage in physical and sedentary activities as required
• Perform additional assigned duties, tasks, or projects

Requirements:

• 4+ years of experience in civil litigation
• Excellent research, writing, and analytical skills
• Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing
• Experience with multi district litigation is a plus

Education:

Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school

Certifications:

Admission to the State Bar of Illinois (or ability to waive in)
