Job Overview

A law firm seeks an Environmental Associate Attorney to join its Environmental and Natural Resources Group in San Diego, CA. The ideal candidate will have 3-6 years of experience in environmental litigation and regulatory matters, with a strong ability to work both independently and collaboratively.

Duties

  • Represent clients in environmental litigation in federal and state courts.
  • Handle a variety of environmental regulatory defense and administrative enforcement matters.
  • Provide transactional counseling on environmental issues.
  • Conduct thorough legal research and analysis.
  • Prepare and deliver compelling presentations and written communications.

Requirements

  • 3-6 years of experience in environmental law.
  • Experience with CERCLA, RCRA, the Clean Air Act, and the Clean Water Act.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Education

  • Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Admission to the State Bar of California.
