The ideal candidate will collaborate with clients to develop strategies tailored to meet their specific estate planning goals. Responsibilities include drafting legal documents, conducting legal research, counseling clients on wealth preservation, and representing clients in estate-related proceedings.

Duties:

  • Work collaboratively as part of a team to develop estate planning strategies.
  • Collaborate with clients to develop strategies designed to meet specific goals.
  • Draft and review legal documents such as wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and healthcare directives.
  • Conduct legal research on estate planning laws, regulations, and precedents.
  • Counsel clients on wealth preservation, tax planning, and asset protection strategies.

  • Engage in business development activities, including professional organization involvement and writing.
  • Supervise paralegals, staff, and team members as your role progresses.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Juris Doctor from an accredited law school.
  • Successful passing of the bar exam.
  • Active member in good standing of the Bar or currently eligible to become licensed to practice law in Iowa.
  • 2-5 years of relevant experience in estate planning.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Preferably 3-7 years of specific estate planning experience.
  • Excellent academic and professional credentials are desired.
