Job Title:
Real Estate Associate Attorney

Job Overview:
A reputable law firm located in Chicago, IL, is looking for a skilled and motivated Real Estate Associate Attorney to join their commercial real estate team. The ideal candidate will bring 2-4 years of experience in commercial real estate transactions, including acquisitions, dispositions, title review, and survey analysis. Experience in leveraging AI software for data room management and analysis is highly preferred. This role provides the opportunity to work alongside experienced attorneys and contribute to high-quality legal services for clients involved in a range of real estate matters.

Duties:

  • Draft and negotiate contracts, leases, and loan agreements.
  • Review and analyze title and survey documents.
  • Collaborate with colleagues across offices on real estate transactions.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with clients.
  • Stay informed on changes in laws, regulations, and industry trends.
  • Provide legal guidance on acquisitions, dispositions, leasing, loans, and development projects.

Requirements:

  • 2-4 years of experience in commercial real estate law, including acquisitions, dispositions, title, and survey matters.
  • Experience with AI tools for managing and analyzing real estate data is highly desirable.
  • Strong research, writing, and communication skills.
  • Proven ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Admission to practice law in Illinois.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Must be licensed to practice law in Illinois.

Skills:

  • Expertise in real estate transactions, including contracts and leasing.
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical abilities.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Proficiency in using AI and legal software for transaction management is a plus.
