Job Overview

A law firm seeks a Labor and Employment Associate with 2 to 4 years of employment defense experience to join its well-established practice in New York City. The candidate will engage in labor and employment litigation and provide strategic counsel to large employers on complex issues.

Duties

• Attend and conduct witness interviews.
• Handle case investigations.
• Draft position statements, pleadings, and litigation motions.
• Prepare critical personnel documents, such as employment and separation agreements.

Requirements

• 2 to 4 years of employment defense experience.
• Experience in litigation before courts, arbitrators, mediators, and government agencies.
• Strong research, writing, and analytical skills.
• Demonstrated ownership over cases and assignments.

Education

• Juris Doctor degree from an ABA-accredited law school.

Certifications

• Member of the New York State Bar.
