Job Overview

A law firm seeks an Insurance Associate for its New York office. The ideal candidate will join the 3rd to 4th year associate class and possess a strong background in insurance and reinsurance matters, including regulatory and transactional work. The role requires handling a full spectrum of insurance/reinsurance regulatory and transactional matters, with additional litigation experience.

Duties

• Manage insurance and reinsurance regulatory and transactional matters.
• Conduct litigation tasks, including depositions and court motions.
• Collaborate closely with sophisticated clients.

Requirements

• 3rd to 4th year associate experience in insurance and reinsurance.
• Experience in litigation, including depositions and court motions.
• Strong organizational and writing skills.
• Ability to work independently and exercise sound judgment.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree.

Certifications

• Admission to the New York State Bar.

Although more commonly thought of as a Washington, DC, firm, this New York office has many of the same practice areas.
