Job Overview:
A client-focused, expanding law firm in the Charlotte area is seeking an experienced Estate Planning Attorney to help grow and lead its estate planning division. This role offers the opportunity to manage a full range of estate planning matters while working in a collaborative environment dedicated to high-quality client service. The ideal candidate is compassionate, detail-oriented, and driven to create long-term impact for clients and their families.

Location:

  • Charlotte, North Carolina

Duties:

  • Conduct client consultations to assess estate planning needs

  • Draft and review estate planning documents, including wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and healthcare directives

  • Advise clients on estate tax planning, wealth transfer, and asset protection strategies

  • Maintain organized and accurate client files and legal documentation

  • Ensure compliance with North Carolina estate planning laws and regulations

  • Collaborate with the real estate and business law teams on cross-practice matters

  • Provide empathetic and effective counsel to clients and their families

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in estate planning law

  • Proven ability to manage cases from consultation to document execution

  • Demonstrated interest in client advocacy and legal service excellence

  • Ability to work independently while contributing to a team environment

  • Strong work ethic and attention to detail

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school

Certifications:

  • Active license to practice law in North Carolina (required)

Skills:
