Entry-Level Attorney

Job Overview

A law firm seeks an entry-level Attorney for a high-volume practice in Marietta, GA. The candidate will be required to make in-person court appearances in the Marietta Metro Area and telephonic or virtual appearances statewide. This role offers training and growth opportunities for the right individual.

Duties

• Negotiate with opposing counsel to resolve cases.
• Conduct legal research.
• Manage a caseload and provide analysis on legal and regulatory risks.
• Travel to various courts within Georgia for legal representation.
• Collaborate with the Managing Attorney to report activities and results.
• Treat consumers/defendants with fairness and respect while creating fair payment solutions.
• Review and draft legal pleadings and settlement agreements.

Requirements

• J.D. from an accredited law school with a license to practice in Georgia.
• In-depth knowledge of Federal and State laws.
• Ability to analyze case law and provide recommendations.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Exemplary oral and written communication skills.
• Outstanding time management skills in a deadline-driven environment.

Education

• J.D. from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• License to practice law in Georgia.

Skills

• Fluency in Spanish is a plus.
• Experience in Creditor's Rights, Bankruptcy, or representing Debtors is advantageous.
• Litigation experience is beneficial.
