Job Title: Litigation Attorney

Job Overview:
A Lexington-based law firm seeks an experienced litigation attorney through a recruiting partner. This opportunity is tailored for a legal professional with a robust background in civil and commercial litigation who can independently manage cases from inception to resolution, including trial. The ideal candidate brings strategic thinking, client-focused representation, and exceptional courtroom presence to a dynamic legal practice.

Duties:

  • Advocate for clients in civil litigation, including contract conflicts, employment law matters, business torts, and intellectual property disputes

  • Manage all phases of litigation, including initial filings, discovery, motion practice, negotiations, and court appearances

  • Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, motions, and legal memoranda

  • Participate in strategy development for complex cases

  • Represent clients in settlement negotiations and trial proceedings

  • Collaborate with internal teams to provide holistic case management

  • Maintain strong client communication and update on case developments

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in litigation with a focus on civil and commercial matters

  • Admitted to the Massachusetts Bar and in good standing

  • Demonstrated ability to manage cases independently

  • Proficient in legal research and persuasive legal writing

  • Strong oral advocacy skills and courtroom confidence

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

  • Active license to practice law in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts

Skills:
