Duties:

  • Provide legal representation in various family law matters, including divorce, child custody, child support, spousal support, adoption, and guardianship.
  • Draft, review, and file all necessary legal documents related to family law proceedings.
  • Actively manage caseload from initiation to resolution, including negotiation, mediation, and trial as necessary.
  • Offer comprehensive legal advice to clients, ensuring they understand all possible outcomes and strategies.
  • Engage in continuous client communication to report case progress and provide guidance.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities and stay updated on changes in family law.
  • Work collaboratively with support staff and other attorneys to maintain a high standard of legal service.

Requirements:

  • Possession of a Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school.
  • Licensed to practice law in Illinois and in good standing with the state bar.
  • A minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in family law practice or at least 5 years of life experience that demonstrates strong empathy and understanding of human relationships.
  • Strong advocacy, negotiation, and courtroom skills.
  • Demonstrated commitment to ethical legal practice.

Education:

  • Juris Doctorate required.

Certifications:

  • Must have a current Illinois bar license in good standing.

Skills:
