A law firm in Hyannis, MA, is seeking an Associate Attorney with experience in estate planning and/or estate settlement. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing legal counsel and support in matters related to estate planning and settlement.

 

Duties:

  • Assist clients with drafting wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and other estate planning documents.
  • Conduct meetings with clients to discuss their estate planning goals and provide legal advice.
  • Handle probate and estate administration matters, including asset distribution and resolving estate disputes.
  • Research and analyze legal issues pertaining to estate planning and settlement.
  • Collaborate with other attorneys and legal staff to provide comprehensive legal services to clients.

 

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the Massachusetts state bar.
  • Experience in estate planning and/or estate settlement.
  • Strong understanding of estate planning laws and procedures.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple client matters and work effectively under deadlines.

 

Certifications:

Certification in estate planning (preferred).

 

Skills:

  • Proficiency in drafting legal documents related to estate planning and settlement.
  • Strong analytical skills for researching complex legal issues.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in legal work.
