Job Overview

A law firm seeks an experienced Civil Litigation Associate Attorney to join its Business, Tort & Insurance practice groups in San Diego, CA. The ideal candidate will have at least five years of experience in Business & Tort Litigation. This role offers the opportunity to work with esteemed clients and contribute to a tradition of legal excellence.

Duties

• Develop client relationships and establish legal objectives.
• Draft pleadings and discovery for various case aspects.
• Take depositions of parties, witnesses, and experts.
• Consult and prepare experts for cases.
• Conduct legal research to support case strategies.
• Manage intensive fact discovery and electronic discovery platforms.
• Report comprehensively to partners and clients.
• Communicate and negotiate persuasively with opposing counsel.

Requirements

• Admitted to and in good standing with the California bar.
• 5+ years of civil litigation experience required.
• Strong analytical, research, oral, and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and within a team.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage caseloads.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
