The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of successful outcomes in civil litigation cases, strong trial skills, and at least 2 years of supervisory or management experience. This role involves managing complex cases, acting as lead counsel, and mentoring junior attorneys. Location:

  • Dayton, OH

Duties:

  • Act as lead counsel on a variety of civil litigation cases in both state and federal courts

  • Manage all aspects of the litigation process from case inception through trial and appeal

  • Conduct legal research, draft pleadings, motions, and other legal documents, and prepare for hearings, depositions, and trials

  • Strategize and develop case theories, objectives, and litigation strategies to achieve favorable outcomes for clients

  • Provide mentorship, supervision, and guidance to newly admitted and younger attorneys, including reviewing and revising their work product and offering constructive feedback

  • Collaborate with other attorneys, paralegals, and partners to develop plans for the professional development of junior attorneys

  • Maintain effective communication with clients regarding strategy, staffing, billing, and case objectives

Requirements:

  • 5-10 years of civil litigation experience with proven trial success (Required)

  • Minimum 2 years of supervisory or management experience with demonstrated leadership abilities (Required)

  • Strong litigation and trial skills, including experience conducting depositions, examining witnesses, and arguing motions in court (Required)

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex legal concepts clearly and persuasively (Required)

  • Active license in good standing to practice law in Ohio (Required)

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment (Required)

  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively (Required)

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school (Required)

Certifications:

  • Licensed to practice law in Ohio (Required)
