Job Overview

A law firm seeks an experienced Estate Probate Trust Attorney in Newport Beach, CA. The successful candidate will represent clients in disputes involving wills, trusts, estates, and fiduciary duties, handling complex matters and working closely with senior attorneys to develop expertise in this niche area of law.

Duties

  • Attend court proceedings to represent clients.
  • Analyze legal problems and create strategic plans of action.
  • Communicate with clients about asset distribution plans.
  • Organize and maintain current client files.
  • Represent clients in probate and trust litigation, including will contests and fiduciary duty claims.
  • Draft pleadings, motions, legal memoranda, and discovery documents.
  • Conduct legal research and analyze complex issues.
  • Participate in mediations and court hearings.
  • Collaborate with clients, experts, and opposing counsel.
  • Maintain timely communication and provide legal advice to clients.
  • Manage deadlines and case files with attention to detail.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of experience in probate and trust law.
  • Excellent written communication skills.
  • Understanding of real estate matters, including title insurance and property management.
  • Great communication skills in stressful situations.
  • Member in good standing with the ABA.
  • Active member of the California Bar Association.

Education

  • Undergraduate degree with a legal background.
  • Juris Doctor degree required.

Certifications

  • Active member of the California Bar Association.
