A law firm in Orlando is actively seeking a highly qualified Managed Care Associate Attorney with a specialized background in managed care, demonstrating proficiency in handling provider contract and billing disputes, medical necessity, level of care, coordination of benefits, and out-of-network payor provider litigation. The ideal candidate will exhibit a strong commitment to the field, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and a keen desire to immediately assume responsibility for legal matters within a dynamic law firm environment.

 

Duties:

  • Manage and resolve provider contract and billing disputes related to managed care.
  • Navigate cases involving medical necessity, level of care, and coordination of benefits.
  • Handle out-of-network payor provider litigation matters.
  • Assume immediate responsibility for legal matters within the managed care practice.
  • Engage in legal research, analysis, and brief writing.
  • Participate in oral arguments and other legal proceedings.
  • Collaborate effectively with internal legal teams and external stakeholders.

 

Requirements:

  • 4-7 years of general litigation and/or arbitration experience.
  • Demonstrated commitment to the field of managed care.
  • Strong academic credentials and exceptional writing skills.
  • Motivated, personable, articulate, and collaborative.
  • Prior experience in a law firm setting.

 

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Preferred law school experience includes law clerk internships, moot court, or law review/journal participation.

 

Certifications:

Bar license in at least one of the following states: California, Texas, or Florida (preferred).

 

Skills:

  • In-depth knowledge of managed care principles and practices.
  • Proficiency in legal research, analysis, and brief writing.
  • Strong oral argument and presentation skills.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively within a legal team.
  • Motivated to assume immediate responsibility for legal matters.
