Duties

• Manage a diverse caseload, including professional negligence defense, insurance disputes, and personal injury cases
• Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, motions, and other court documents
• Participate in all stages of litigation, including depositions, discovery, and trial preparation
• Assist as first or second chair in civil jury trials
• Meet critical deadlines while maintaining a high standard of quality in legal work
• Collaborate with partners and senior attorneys to develop case strategy and provide client representation

Requirements

• 1 year of litigation experience, preferably in insurance defense or general civil litigation.
• Experience in legal research, writing, and case management
• Ability to handle depositions and trial responsibilities
• Demonstrated capacity to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Strong analytical, communication, and negotiation skills

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
• Must be licensed to practice law in Nebraska or eligible for admission

Certifications

• Active membership in the Nebraska State Bar
