A law firm is seeking a Junior to Mid-Level Transactional Tax Associate Attorney for their Los Angeles, CA office. The successful candidate will be responsible for:

Job Overview: Joining a dynamic team in a reputable law firm, the Junior to Mid-Level Transactional Tax Associate Attorney will provide comprehensive legal support in transactional tax matters. They will leverage their expertise to navigate complex tax issues, ensure compliance, and facilitate seamless transactions for clients.

Duties:

  • Effectively communicate, verbally and in writing, with clients, lawyers, business professionals, and third parties.
  • Produce deliverables, answer phone calls, and reply to correspondence efficiently and responsively.
  • Provide timely, accurate, and quality work products.
  • Successfully meet deadlines and expectations and perform work duties as required.
  • Foster positive work relationships within the firm and with external stakeholders.
  • Comply with all firm policies and practices.
  • Engage in physical and sedentary activities, including working at a computer for extended periods, participating in digital/virtual conference calls, and attending meetings as needed.
  • Perform all other duties, tasks, or projects as assigned.

Requirements:

  • 2-4 years of experience in transactional tax matters.
  • Strong transactional tax experience dealing with fund formation, Section 892 investors, real estate, income tax treaties, and cross-border transactions.
  • Immediately transferable skills and a strong academic background.
  • Strong analytical and writing skills, attention to detail, good business judgment, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work collaboratively and independently.
  • J.D. degree.
  • 2+ years of relevant experience.
  • Direct and applicable AmLaw 100 law firm or SEC experience.
  • Must be licensed to practice law in CA.

Education and Certifications:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree.
  • Must be licensed to practice law in the state of California.

  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and independently.
