A law firm is seeking a Property Tax and Condemnation Associate Attorney for their Boston office. The Property Tax and Condemnation Associate Attorney will be responsible for handling real property tax litigation, assessment challenges, valuation issues, and eminent domain matters. Strong verbal, writing, and interpersonal skills are essential for success in this role. The ideal candidate will be licensed to practice law in New York State.

 

Duties:

  • Handle real property tax litigation cases.
  • Manage assessment challenges and valuation disputes.
  • Represent clients in eminent domain matters.
  • Conduct legal research and analysis related to property tax laws and regulations.
  • Draft legal documents, including complaints, motions, and briefs.
  • Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and other parties involved in cases.
  • Attend court hearings, depositions, and negotiations as needed.

 

Requirements:

  • Licensed to practice law in New York State.
  • 1-3 years of experience as a practicing attorney in real property, tax, or litigation.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team environment.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize workload effectively.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in legal work.

 

Education:

Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

 

Certifications:

Admission to the New York State Bar.
