A law firm is seeking an Employment Litigation Attorney to join their team in Santa Monica, CA. The ideal candidate will have strong writing and verbal communication skills, the ability to effectively communicate with clients and other attorneys, and strong negotiation skills. This role requires a minimum of 5 years of experience as an employment litigation attorney.

 

Job Overview

The Employment Litigation Attorney will play a key role in the firm's employment law practice, handling a variety of litigation matters related to employment disputes. This position offers the opportunity to work closely with clients, develop legal strategies, and advocate on behalf of employees in employment-related litigation.

 

Duties:

  • Represent clients in various employment litigation matters, including discrimination, harassment, wrongful termination, and wage and hour disputes.
  • Draft and prepare legal documents such as complaints, motions, and discovery requests.
  • Conduct legal research and analysis on complex employment law issues.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, providing updates and guidance throughout the litigation process.
  • Negotiate settlements and participate in mediation or alternative dispute resolution proceedings.
  • Attend court hearings, depositions, and other legal proceedings.
  • Collaborate with other attorneys and legal staff on case strategies and approaches.
  • Stay current with developments in employment law and regulations.

 

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the State Bar of California.
  • 5+ years of experience as an employment litigation attorney.
  • Strong writing and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with clients and other attorneys.
  • Demonstrated negotiation skills.
  • Experience in employment law, including discrimination, harassment, and wage and hour matters.
  • Proven track record of success in employment litigation.

 

Education & Certifications:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the State Bar of California.

 

Skills:
