Job Overview

A law firm seeks a motivated Government and Regulatory Affairs Attorney with 2-to-5 years of experience to join their team in San Diego. The ideal candidate will have experience with public agencies and a keen interest in public agency law or public service.

Duties

  • Collaborate with a team to provide legal services to public agencies.
  • Engage in legal research and writing to support client needs.
  • Advise clients on compliance with public agency laws and regulations.
  • Participate in public meetings and provide legal counsel.
  • Handle matters related to land use, public finance, and legislative affairs.

Requirements

  • 2-to-5 years of relevant legal experience.
  • Experience with public agencies, including cities and special districts.
  • Strong writing and research skills.
  • Excellent public speaking ability.
  • Ability to work directly with clients.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Active membership in the California State Bar.
