Job Title: Attorney

Job Overview:
A reputable law firm located in San Diego, CA, is actively seeking a skilled and driven Civil Litigation Attorney with 2-7 years of experience to join their team. The position offers the opportunity to work closely with senior partners or manage an independent caseload. This role involves handling a variety of litigation duties, including depositions, motions, discovery, client communication, arbitrations, and trials. The firm offers a hybrid work arrangement, providing flexibility with up to two remote working days each week.

Duties:

  • Manage and handle civil litigation cases from start to finish.
  • Prepare and attend depositions, hearings, and trials.
  • Draft and argue law and motion documents.
  • Conduct discovery, including interrogatories, requests for documents, and depositions.
  • Provide regular client updates and reports.
  • Handle arbitrations and other alternative dispute resolution processes.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2-7 years of experience in civil litigation.
  • Proven ability to manage a caseload and handle complex legal tasks.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with a team.
  • Comfortable working with senior attorneys and clients.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active Bar membership in good standing (California).

Skills:

  • Strong litigation skills.
  • Proficiency in legal research and drafting motions and pleadings.
  • Excellent client communication and relationship-building abilities.
  • Familiarity with discovery processes and managing cases through trial.
  • Organizational skills and attention to detail.

Job Location:
San Diego, CA (Hybrid - two days remote per week).
