Insurance Litigation Attorney

Dallas office of a BCG Attorney Search Top Ranked Law Firm seeks a insurance litigation attorney with 7-12 years of experience. The candidate will review new file assignments and prepare initial pleadings, propound discovery, and develop a strategy. Will also contact clients to discuss their cases and answer any questions, and prepare witnesses and clients for depositions, arbitrations, mediations, and trials, including expert witnesses. Furthermore, they will conduct settlement / dispositive proceedings (e.g., mediations, arbitrations, etc.), try and/or arbitrate cases and prepare motions, pretrial motions, and summary documents. In addition to drafting post-trial motions, preparing for and participating in appeals, and providing legal opinions to claims clients. Should have experience of 7-12 years and 8,000 hours of experience in drafting motions, pleadings, memoranda and briefs, discovery demands, and responses. Must have experience handling first and third-party insurance claims under commercial as well as personal and residential policies, primarily on the defense side, although there will be some insured representation. Current experience should include independently managing a caseload and working cases from beginning to end, regularly handling court appearances, mediations, and depositions, monitoring and reviewing updates to existing laws, regulations, and case law, and identifying and summarizing relevant issues. Must be an active member in good standing with the Texas Bar.

The candidate should have the ability to work through complex commercial insurance litigation-related issues. Must have technical proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite and hold a J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school.
