Job Title: Litigation Attorney

Job Overview:
A respected law firm located in Aliso Viejo, CA, with a focus on real estate, business disputes, and construction-related matters, including common interest development issues is looking for a seasoned litigator. The position offers the flexibility of remote work, with optional access to a hybrid workspace. The firm seeks a candidate with solid litigation experience who can handle all aspects of a case from start to finish. Duties:

• Represent clients in court proceedings, including motion practice and trial involvement

• Prepare discovery documents and manage response strategies

• Draft legal pleadings, memoranda, and correspondence

• Conduct in-depth legal research and write supporting briefs

• Communicate directly with clients regarding case progress and strategy

• Support mediation and settlement negotiations

• Organize case materials and ensure accurate, timely filings

Requirements:

• Admission to the California State Bar in good standing

• Minimum of 3 years’ litigation experience, preferably with a background in construction defect matters

• Ability to independently manage caseloads and deadlines

• Prior courtroom and deposition experience

• Demonstrated initiative and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• Active and good standing with the California State Bar (mandatory)

Skills:

• Proficiency with legal research and case analysis

• Clear and persuasive written and verbal communication

• Strong organizational and time-management skills

• Technological proficiency in Microsoft Word (including formatting) and Adobe Acrobat (including PDF editing and annotation)

• Positive attitude, adaptability, and strong interpersonal rapport
